What the school says
“Your child is unique and precious. Choosing where they begin to lay their educational foundation is a critical choice which every parent must make. Saigon Star International School is an institution which believes in encouraging young children's enthusiasm for learning while also introducing the necessary academic skills to be competitive in today's changing global community.
"You will find that Saigon Star is different from other schools in many ways. Perhaps one of the most important areas is our teachers. They are dedicated and experienced professionals, who are committed to helping your child grow and succeed. Our teachers are all native speakers, university graduates, and hold recognised teaching qualifications.”
"We are proud to be the first and only international school that is accredited with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) in Vietnam; a curriculum which we believe helps us to achieve our Shared Vision, embrace our community’s wide diversity and foster a love for lifelong learning.
"Our commitment to the IPC means that the Personal Learning Goals we develop within our learners are more than just words; they are important skills that we aim to develop and foster so that students may become balanced members of a rapidly changing global community.
"At Saigon Star, we supplement the IEYC (International Early Years Curriculum), the IPC and the IMYC (International Middle Years Curriculum) with the English National Curriculum. Our International Early Years Curriculum is integrated with components of the child-centred approach, Montessori and our personalised Performing Arts department is supported by specialists in singing, drama and musical instruments."
The school is in District 2, a popular expat area just 10km from the city centre.
Fees for the 2020/2021 academic year range from 200 million VND to 358 million VND. There is also an application fee of 23,300,000 VND.
From the head teacher
"Welcome to Saigon Star, a school with a strong community feel that we are incredibly proud of. Within our peaceful, green and welcoming campus, you will find happy, safe and learning-focused children. Our children are also supported by a caring, supportive and professional team of internationally qualified teachers.
"Our learners have always, and will remain, our greatest asset; personifying our Shared Vision of a balance between personal, intrinsic values and high levels of academic achievement. Learners who begin their journeys of educational fulfilment and spend time over their careers with us show a desire to contribute to our local, national and global community.
"Approaching over 30 nationalities within our student roll, diversity is not just welcomed, it is celebrated! Our ‘International Mindedness’ is felt the moment you arrive on campus, with strong parent-school links ensuring our learners gain a deeper understanding, empathy and respect for those on similar educational paths.
"We are proud of how the school has grown and shall continue to grow, with the unrelenting determination to improve learning and facilitate opportunities for our students to flourish."
-James Quantrill, Headteacher
From the parents
"I am so happy and satisfied to have Saigon Star as the place where Adi is studying. The teachers are great! Despite the various classes, they all know every single child, consistently remain professional yet friendly, always smile and laugh, are full of positivity, warm attitudes, and genuinely loving and caring towards the learners. These are the people I truly trust to leave my child’s education to."
– Fransisca Swain, Indonesia
"I love the way in which children learn at Saigon Star, such as developing a Growth Mindset and a resilient approach to learning."
